# Integrations

A directory of the apps a product connects to: search and categories with counts, connected apps first with their state (Connected, Needs attention), a card per app with its mark, one line and one button that connects in place (waiting on the app's sign-in, then connected) or opens it; an app's side panel holds the connected account, sync history, its settings that save as they change, Sync now and Disconnect; no match offers Request an integration.

## Use it for

- The Integrations or Apps page of a SaaS product: connect Slack, a CRM, billing, storage; see which are working.
- Any catalogue of connectors with a connect-then-configure flow.

## Not for

- Keys and webhooks your customers' own code uses ([api-keys](https://beamline.io/components/api-keys)).
- Choosing one value from a short list ([select](https://beamline.io/components/select)).

## Anatomy

- header: title, how many are connected, Request an integration
- filters: search, categories as chips with counts
- Connected: apps in use, each with its state; Needs attention first
- All apps: a card each (initials mark on the app's colour, name, one line, category), Connect or Open
- app panel: connected account and when, the last syncs as a status strip, settings (switches and choices) that save as they change, Sync now, Disconnect (asks in place)
- no match: Request an integration with what was searched

## States

- loading; load failed (Try again)
- not connected; connecting (waiting for the app's sign-in), connected (the card moves into Connected), cancelled or refused (says why)
- needs attention (sign-in expired: Reconnect is the card's button)
- settings saving, saved, refused (steps back)
- syncing (busy), synced, failed (a red block in the strip)
- disconnecting (asks in place), disconnected (the card leaves Connected)
- no app matches the search

## Keyboard

- / focuses the search; arrows move between chips
- Tab reaches each card's button; Enter on Open shows the panel; Esc closes it and returns focus to the card

## Motion

A connected card slides from All apps into Connected and the others close up. A card's button turns into a spinner while the app's sign-in is open, then its badge changes in place. The panel slides from the edge. Reduced motion places everything at once.
