# Licence

What one Beamline licence lets you and your team do. One payment, no subscription, no seats.

## What you may do, and what you may not

- One licence covers you and everyone who works with you on your apps, employees and contractors alike. There are no seats.

- Use, copy and change Beamline in any number of your own and your clients’ apps, commercial ones included, and ship those apps to anyone.

- A client may receive and maintain the source of an app you built for them, including the Beamline parts in it.

- You may not sell, share or give away Beamline itself, or a substantial part of it, as a component library, UI kit, template, theme, starter or similar product, and you may not publish its source on its own (a public repository, a package registry, a file share).

- You may not use Beamline to build a dataset for training or fine-tuning a machine-learning model. Using coding agents on your own projects is fine; that is what Beamline is for.

- Keep the notices that third-party parts require (for example TradingView’s attribution on the price chart). Those parts come under their own licences, listed with the product.

## Where it comes from

This is the licence in our [terms of sale](https://beamline.io/terms#licence), which also cover updates, refunds, liability and the law that applies. The free sample comes under the same licence. Questions: [hello@beamline.io](mailto:hello@beamline.io).
