Untitled UI alternatives for React teams
Beamline code lives in your repo; your app never depends on Beamline servers at runtime. Build your own style
from any look using public tokens, fonts, radii, density and motion. Editable source goes into src/ui/beamline;
compiled archives stay in .beamline/packages/, committed with the app. Custom style files live in
src/styles/beamline, which upgrades leave alone. The MCP server helps the agent find and install parts; local kit
tools work without it. See Install and Customise.
You own your end products and changes under the licence; the paid packs cannot be resold or redistributed on their own. The free GitHub sample is MIT.
Untitled UI React advertises 5,000+ components and sections and 250+ page examples, built on React Aria and Tailwind CSS; its matching Figma kit is sold separately. Its PRO plans are priced by how many people use them. Teams look for an alternative when the price per seat bites, or when the screens they build are product UI that changes several times a second or talks to an agent, rather than marketing pages.
What a team pays
One payment each, as listed on 10 October 2026. Both include lifetime updates: Untitled UI's PRO plans, and Beamline's payment (new versions of the complete system for as long as we publish it; every version you received stays yours).
| team size | Untitled UI React PRO | Beamline | shadcn/ui |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person | $349 (Solo) | $49 | free |
| 2 to 8 people | $999 (Studio) | $49 | free |
| 9 to 20 people | $2,499 (Business) | $49 | free |
| more than 20 | $8,999 (Enterprise) | $49 | free |
Beamline's licence covers the buyer's whole team, employees and contractors, with no seats to count. Untitled UI’s separate Figma kit costs $129 Solo, $399 for up to 8 people, $999 for up to 20, or $2,499 for unlimited users.
Pick by the job
| you build | look at | why |
|---|---|---|
| marketing sites, landing pages, lots of page variety | Untitled UI React | thousands of sections and page examples, with a separately sold Figma kit to match |
| your own design system on free code | shadcn/ui | MIT code you own and change |
| Material Design, enterprise grids and schedulers | MUI | Material UI core plus MUI X |
| the product itself with a coding agent: dashboards, CRM, settings, AI agents, trading, voice | Beamline | 250+ parts in one design language, installed and audited by the agent |
Where Beamline goes deeper
Beamline is smaller and goes further into the screens that move or talk back. Each of these is a whole screen in the library, live, built from parts you can also use on their own:
| screen | what it holds |
|---|---|
| Analytics dashboard | KPIs, revenue, channels, plan mix and uptime under one set of filters, with honest missing data |
| Agent workspace | threads, streamed reasoning, cited answers and a plan that waits for approval, with an artifacts panel |
| Trading terminal | order book, candles, depth, order ticket and positions on your feed |
| CRM | a deals pipeline on a virtualised data grid: inline edit, bulk moves, delete with undo, each deal in a side sheet |
| Settings | profile, workspace, members, billing, notifications and API keys with one draft and a real save |
| Voice agent | the agent's orb, a live transcript, mute, typing and every microphone state |
Agent support, side by side
Both kits offer MCP-assisted installation. Untitled UI's lets Claude Code, Cursor and Gemini CLI browse, search and add
components with its CLI. Beamline also has local kit tools, and its installed UI never calls the MCP server.
Its agent workflow adds two steps around the install: before it, the agent maps every field on the
screen to the most specific part and writes the reasons into BEAMLINE.md; after it, an audit names every raw input,
three-option dropdown or hard-coded colour that should have been a part, and the agent fixes them before it says the
screen is done. The agent setup guide shows each step.
The finished screens remain editable. Rebuild their style through public tokens or per-part className,
data-slot and data-state hooks, and let your own components use the same role classes. Component CSS sits in
@layer components, below normal unlayered app CSS; source edits are available when a part needs to change directly.
Move a screen with your agent
Connect your agent, then send it this from the app's folder, one screen at a time:
Rebuild this screen with Beamline and leave the rest of the app as it is: call beamline_capabilities,
map every field and pattern to the most specific Beamline part and write the table into BEAMLINE.md,
install them with one beamline_install, keep my data and handlers, then run the audit and fix every FIX
line. Keep the old components until I have compared the two.
When Untitled UI is the better choice
- Your designers work in Figma: Untitled UI offers a matching Figma kit as a separate purchase.
- You build marketing pages at volume: its sections and page examples cover far more of that.
- You need real Safari on macOS/iOS verified today: Beamline’s browser evidence covers Chromium and Playwright Firefox/WebKit on Linux, with known phone visual issues (scope and results).
